When your community is behind you, the road ahead is limitless.

For me this film is touching one of the most important topics of our individualistic times. The importance of the community. The Swedish sociologist Bo Rothstein compared our belief in the community with a dying coral reef. If we lose it, it’s something that is very hard to repair. All individual performances, in life or in sports are completely dependent on the back up of a community. The importance of trusting each other, our community, is something that I have been trying to highlight through all my films. -Ruben Östlund
